La French Run brought runners, families and Calgary’s francophone community together at Stanley Park for its fifth edition.
Organized by Alliance Française Calgary, the event included a 1K kids run, a 5K run/walk and a 10K race, combining sport with a distinctly French community atmosphere.
Newtone Photography documented the event from the first arrivals through the final finishers — capturing the start line, runners on course, finish-line moments, families, volunteers and the atmosphere surrounding the race.
Our approach balanced the overall story of the event with extensive participant coverage.
Alongside wide scenes and key race moments, we photographed individual runners throughout the course so participants had a strong chance of finding images of themselves afterward.
600+ final photographs were delivered in organized galleries, giving the client a versatile library for participant sharing, social media, communications and future promotion.
The result is race photography that documents the scale of the event while still keeping individual runners central to the story.
